Journal like you're texting yourself — one line at a time. Here's how things work, and how to reach us if something's off.
OneLine Journal lets you write short journal entries throughout your day, chat-style. You can start immediately as a guest — no account needed — or sign in with Apple to back up and sync your entries across devices.
Why can't I edit yesterday's entry?
Past days are read-only by design, so your journal stays an accurate record of what you actually wrote, when you wrote it. You can edit or delete an entry only on the day you wrote it.
I switched to a new iPhone and my old entries are missing or won't open.
Your entries are encrypted with a key that lives only on your original device's Keychain. If you set up your new device by restoring a backup of the old one, the key comes with it and entries decrypt normally. If you set the new device up as new (no restore), it generates a fresh key and can't decrypt entries written on the old device. Restoring from a backup of the original device is currently the only way to recover them.
How do I turn off or change my evening reminder?
Settings → Evening reminder. You can toggle it off or change the time. You'll only be reminded on days you haven't already written an entry.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete All Data (guest) or Delete Account (signed in). This permanently removes every entry and cannot be undone.
Still need a hand? We usually reply within a day or two.
